I found the prettiest set of dishes over the week end at a yard sale and couldn't wait to use them in a tablescape.
I began to think I wasn't going to get my tablescape changed out this week! On Thursdays, I try to set the table with different dishes that we will use all week long.
I was really running behind because we had a big limb on one of the trees in the backyard break off and land on the greenhouse. More on that later! The limb was so big you couldn't even see the greenhouse....it's been a big clean up! I took lots of photos and will do a post on it pretty soon.
Brisket is one of H's favorite things to cook. He cooked one Friday, then our daughter stopped by and we gave her some.....then two of the grands came by and we gave them some to take home So, he picked up another one and cooked it Saturday. (We like to have brisket in the freezer ready to eat when we don't have time to cook.)
When I saw some pillow pumpkins on Pinterest, I thought to myself "how could I make some to use in my fall decorating..... with very little sewing involved" I don't really like to sit in front of a sewing machine, but I don't mind doing a little hand work in the evening while I'm relaxing in my recliner.
There is a large opening between the great room and the sun room.
In the evening, I draw a curtain across the opening for privacy I don't think I ever showed you the curtain that I had there before, but it was just a cream colored drape. When I saw this weathered barn door curtain on Amazon, I knew it would be the perfect addition to my farmhouse style decor.
